Given recent news stories regarding specific talents reportedly asking for their releases from WWE due to alleged frustration and unhappiness, it's perhaps not too surprising to see tonight's title change on Monday Night Raw.

On Monday's Raw from Grand Rapids, MI, The Revival defeated Bobby Roode and Chad Gable to win the brand's Tag Team Championship during the show's third hour. It was a lengthy match that spanned two commercial breaks, ending with Dash Wilder pinning Gable following the Shatter Machine.

The win marks The Revival's first title reign on the WWE main roster, after being called up in April 2017. Previously, the two had reigned as NXT World Tag Team Champions on two occasions.

The two had been subject of recent rumors, claiming that the

from WWE at a taping of Raw last month. Reportedly, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder were unhappy not only about their own usage on the shows, but that the entire Raw tag team division gets treated like an afterthought.

Their reported request for a release was apparently denied.
