Title Match Announced For Monday's WWE Raw

AOP put their titles on the line for the first time...

With Survivor Series out of the way, WWE is entering the winter period where the majority of fans traditionally turn off. To try and keep interest high on Raw, the company have announced that a big (ish) title match will be taking place next Monday

New Raw Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain will defend their titles for the first time against the team of Bobby Roode and Chad Gable - with tensions between the teams built around Drake Maverick pissing his pants at Survivor Series.

With Maverick looking to forget what happened last Sunday, a segment aired on Raw where the 205 Live GM was in catering getting food. The poor bloke received jibes from all angles, with Roode and Gable getting a couple of digs in themselves.

Then, Roode and Gable managed to score a pinfall victory over AOP, with Gable impressively rolling up Akam for the win.

With the likes of The Revival floundering on the main roster in recent times, thrown together teams like Gable and Roode are being given the chance to shine. While their beginnings weren't the most captivating - with Chad being a massive fan of Bobby's despite Bobby not really doing anything on Monday night Raw - the pair have evolved into a pretty decent unit with one of the prettiest tag team finishers you're ever likely to see (that Moonsault/Neckbreaker combo).

At the time of writing, no other matches have been announced by WWE for next week's Raw, which takes place in Milwaukee, WI at the Fiserv Forum.
