TNA held their second set of tapings over the weekend for upcoming episodes of IMPACT, with last night’s tapings at the Ryan Center in Kingston, Rhode Island covering the August 7 and 14 editions of TNA’s weekly show, and it proved to be a notable night with the return of a former world champion.

Spoilers for TNA IMPACT come per Arya Witner of F4WOnline

August 7 episode of TNA IMPACT

  • Mustafa Ali was out with Order 4, speaking on the current influx of NXT wrestlers, declaring his intentions to make a change and become the new TNA World Champion. Ali mentioned Joe Hendry, and he appeared. Hendry made fun of John Skyler, showcasing a video of a Hendry wrestling buddy sporting a Skyler face mask. Ali rejected a challenge for a match, though it was later made for that episode.
  • TNA World Heavyweight Championship Trick Williams emerged, announcing himself vs. Moose for TNA Emergence. After making fun of Moose, the man himself appeared and laid out Williams.
  • International Champion Steve Maclin vs. Jake Something ended in a double countout
  • Mike Santana cut a promo from the stands, stating that despite being cheated out of the title, he still lost. He will keep fighting, much like when he lost his father, stepping up in the face of adversity. The same happened after losing the title match, after which his daughter told him he’d get Trick the next time.
  • Xia Brookside & Lei Ying Lee defeated M & Heather By Elegance
  • First Class emerged for an episode of First Class Penthouse in which it was announced that KC Navarro had aggravated a knee injury and required ACL surgery. AJ Francis didn’t take kindly to this, bringing back the returning Rich Swann to take his place. Francis dismissed Navarro from First Class, calling him the weak link. Swann pulled the crutch out from under Navarro, leaving him lying on the floor.
  • Mara Sade defeated Vicious Vicki
  • Ash By Elegance defeated Jacy Jayne (c) via DQ - TNA Knockouts World Championship. Masha Slamovich attacked Ash to cause the DQ.
  • Santino Marella announced several matches for Emergence; Steve Maclin vs. Jake Something in a No DQ match, Mike Santana vs. Sami Callihan, The Elegance Brand vs. Xia Brookside & Lei Ying Lee vs. Fatal Influence vs. The Inspiration, and finally Ryan Nemeth vs. Home Town Man.
  • Mustalia Ali defeated Joe Hendry

August 14 episode of TNA IMPACT

  • Moose was attacked backstage to kick off the show, leaving The System to call out Trick Williams and First Class.
  • Trick Williams & First Class defeated Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers & JDC
  • Dane Luna & Indi Hartwell defeated Harley Hudson & Myla Grace
  • Matt Cardona defeated John Skyler
  • A “Knockout Tag Team Summit” took place as all four teams in the Emergence match said their piece, ending up in a multi-team brawl.
  • Mike Santana defeated Eric Young
  • Frankie Kazarian hosted “The King’s Speech” with Steve Maclin and Jake Something, who told Kazarian to shut up and sent him packing out of the ring, before Something then laid out Maclin.
  • The Rascalz & Cedric Alexander defeated Leon Slater & The Hardys

TNA also held tapings for the July 31 episode, the spoilers for which can be seen here.
