Steve Maclin has officially re-signed with TNA, the company has announced.

Maclin claimed during this past weekend's Rebellion pay-per-view that he had put pen to paper on a new deal, with TNA confirming the news.

"I have a lot of unfinished business here and plan to get back into the TNA World Championship picture. I'm very happy to call TNA home," the 36-year-old said.

Maclin was in action at Rebellion, taking on (and losing to) a returning Mike Santana in an impromptu match. Santana inked a TNA deal following the show.

Maclin didn't wrestle at the TNA television tapings the day after Rebellion.

During an appearance on In The Weeds, Maclin explained his decision to re-sign, saying:

"Obviously, more money [laughs]. The creative freedom that I do have, which I've been enjoying, and being able to speak my mind more. I think I've shown TNA and management, from my time being there, that I can work with anyone".

He also noted that he had spoken with other companies before re-signing:

"My deal was up May 31st. Not like it's contract tampering, but there had been discussions elsewhere. You put out your feelers, you have conversations, you want to know what fits best for you and seeing the landscape. I have a lot of unfinished business in TNA and there is a lot more work for me to do. I think my decision was made easily, especially going back a year, I was trying to re-sign then for longer".

The length of Maclin's new TNA deal is currently unknown.
