TNA Wrestling have reportedly agreed to release Dani Luna from her contract, several days after challenging for the TNA Knockouts World Championship.

A report from Fightful Select states that Luna reportedly requested her release with TNA quickly granting it, with Luna officially becoming a free agent over this past weekend. Sources indicated to Fightful that there is no bad blood between Luna and TNA.

Since joining TNA in 2023, Luna reigned as TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion on two occasions with Jody Threat, with the two named Knockouts Tag Team of the Year in 2024. Luna most recently challenged for the TNA Knockouts World Championship at Sacrifice on March 27, losing a threeway to Lei Ying Lee and champion Arianna Grace.

Whilst there is no indication of the reasoning behind Luna’s exit or what is next for her, All Elite Wrestling star Will Ospreay cryptically tweeted about Luna after her request was seemingly granted, prompting speculation that AEW could be interested in acquiring her services. AEW currently has employs several stars from the UK women’s scene, including The Brawling Birds Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter.

Prior to her run in TNA, Luna had a run in WWE from 2019 until 2022, competing as part of NXT UK.
