Tomohiro Ishii Returning To AEW On Rampage

A star of New Japan Pro-Wrestling will be in action on Friday's episode of Rampage. 

Following his announcement of a joint AEW-NJPW pay-per-view on June 26, Adam Cole revealed he will also go one-on-one with Tomohiro Ishii on Friday's Rampage in an Owen Hart Foundation Men's Tournament qualifier. 

Friday will be Ishii's second AEW match. He previously teamed with Orange Cassidy on the November 17, 2021, episode of Dynamite to defeat The Butcher and The Blade. 

Rampage will also be the first time Cole and Ishii have faced off in a singles match, although they have clashed in tag team bouts before in NJPW and Ring Of Honor. 

Also announced for Rampage was Lance Archer vs. Serpentico, and a promo segment with Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland. The competitors who have already qualified for the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament will be interviewed on the show too.
