Tomohiro Ishii Staying With AEW Throughout Summer 2024

AEW retaining Tomohiro Ishii’s services throughout Summer 2024

Looks like ‘The Stone Pitbull’ will be hanging around All Elite Wrestling for a little while longer, with Tomohiro Ishii set to remain with the promotion through Summer 2024.

Ishii has been wrestling for AEW in recent weeks, with the New Japan Pro-Wrestling star returning to the company as part of the annual Forbidden Door series. With Ishii not set to compete in this year’s G1 Climax tournament, AEW President Tony Khan revealed on X/Twitter that Ishii will instead remain with AEW during the tournament:

“It's so great having @njpwglobal all-time legend Tomohiro Ishii here in AEW on Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite TONIGHT! We love having Ishii here + now he's going to stay here in @AEW with us for the rest of summer 2024! AEW is on fire right now! Thank you all + God bless you all!”

Ishii competed on the July 10 edition of AEW Dynamite in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, losing a four corners match for a future shot at the AEW International Championship, with PAC defeating Ishii, Kyle Fletcher, and Claudio Castagnoli to earn a future title shot.
