Tony Khan Claims Shane McMahon Picture Was Taken By An "Airport Worker"

Tony Khan has revealed why a photo was taken of him with Shane McMahon

The talk of Shane McMahon heading to AEW was something that was heating up steadily, but things really grew when details of a meeting and a photo were “leaked” of Tony Khan and Shane McMahon talking to one another. As reported by WrestleTalk and Fightful, the pair had a meeting to discuss “possibilities” moving forwards.

Tony Khan was asked about the meeting on the Dan Le Batard Show, noting that it was the first time he had ever met with Shane McMahon, and that the picture was likely taken by an airport worker who happened to walk in on their meeting.

"I think somebody who works at the airport. We were just talking in the airport lounge, having a real nice chat as the photo evidenced, and somebody just walked in like they were on their phone, ‘Oops, sorry,’ and then walked away. I think that’s probably what it was. It wasn’t that slick. Also, it’s not a top secret thing. I wanted to have a nice conversation with him. I’ve heard a lot of nice things about him. We have a bunch of mutual friends. We were both in Dallas, they said, ‘You guys should meet up,’ so we met up at the airport and it was a nice talk. I thought he’s a very respectful and respectable person, and somebody I really enjoyed talking to."

So, someone happened to walk in with their camera, snapped a picture, and left. There you have it.

When it comes to the possibility of Shane McMahon in AEW, MJF revealed exclusively with Cultaholic that he’d love to have a match with McMahon.
