Tony Khan Following Vince McMahon's WWE Return "Very Closely"

Tony Khan following Vince McMahon's WWE return

AEW President and ROH owner Tony Khan is following the news of Vince McMahon's return "very closely."

Khan said during an appearance on In The Zone on January 10: "Yeah, absolutely, I'm following it, very closely."

WWE have undergone a whirlwind few days following Vince McMahon's return on January 5. McMahon made his return after he elected himself, Michelle Wilson, and George Barrios to the WWE Board of Directors to pursue a sale of the company. It was then revealed on January 10 that the 77-year-old had been unanimously elected as Executive Chairman of the Board by the WWE Board of Directors, with the news emerging at the same time Stephanie McMahon announced her resignation from the company

There have since been conflicting reports about if a deal for WWE to be sold to the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund has been agreed. Any deal would lead to the company being taken private and many assume Vince McMahon would be installed as head of creative.
