Tony Khan: I Wish Brodie Lee Could Have Seen AEW Double Or Nothing 2021

"It probably ranks as one of the two most emotional shows we’ve had"

Tony Khan has made special mention of Brodie Lee, saying he wishes he could have been there to see AEW Double Or Nothing 2021.

Lee (John Huber) tragically passed away on December 26 2020 at just 41-years-old after a lung ailment, with AEW hosting a celebration of his life a few days later.

The promotion welcomed back a full attendance for Double Or Nothing at Daily's Place at the weekend and Khan wishes Lee had been able to see the emotion at the show.

Speaking at the post-AEW Double Or Nothing media scrum, Khan said: "The one thing I wished was that the person who would have seen this is Brodie [Lee]. It probably ranks as one of the two most emotional shows we’ve had, second only, of course, to the Brodie Lee Show.

"Last year he was in a World Title match at Double or Nothing. That's such a great match and that's the first show where we let some family and friends who were tested in. and we had a tested bubble crowd and distanced and it was nothing like this but he had a great match in a very small crowd and I just wish he could have been here tonight."
