Tony Khan Open To Ricky Steamboat Match In AEW

Ricky Steamboat to AEW?

Following his in-ring return, Ricky Steamboat now has the option to have a match in All Elite Wrestling.

Speaking about a potential match for Steamboat in AEW on Busted Open Radio, Tony Khan said:

"It's definitely something to keep in mind, I think it's amazing that Ricky Steamboat got back in the ring. FTR, one of the greatest tag teams on the planet. I'm excited tonight for Dax Harwood to go one-on-one with Bryan Danielson, two of the best pro wrestlers in the world. It's certainly something to think about, Ricky Steamboat's last match, one of my personal heroes. Somebody, as a kid, one of my all-time favourites and to this day one of my all-time favourites. I do think he was a great part of AEW already when he came in as the guest timekeeper."

Steamboat returned to the ring for the first time in 12 years on Sunday, November 27, teaming with FTR to defeat Nick Aldis, "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal, and Brock Anderson. The Dragon has appeared in AEW before, serving as the guest timekeeper for an August episode of Dynamite that tied in with the launch of HBO's House of the Dragon.

Even if Steamboat doesn't have a match, Khan mentioned he would love to have the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion back in AEW in some capacity.
