With the recent reveal that Warner Bros. Discovery reportedly owns a stake in All Elite Wrestling, AEW President Tony Khan has given some details as to the ownership and voting structure within the organisation.
Khan revealed select details of the power structure of AEW during the pre-WrestleDream media call on October 9, saying the following:
"It’s a fair question. I will not get into our ownership structure beyond saying I have 100% of the voting stock in this company and have since the beginning and hold the vast majority of shares. I think that’s fair to say. As the sole voting owner and the vast majority shareholder of the company, I think that speaks volumes and I’m the controlling owner with 100% voting control of the business," said Khan.
Reports at the time of the media deal announcement suggested that WBD had an equity stake in the promotion, although the size of said stake has not been disclosed. AEW and WBD have been media partners since 2019, and AEW programming will remain on WBD channels and streaming services for the next three years at the very least.
