Tony Khan has spoken on AEW Dynamite’s recent viewing figures after reports suggested the show is clearing 1 million viewers per week after landing on MAX.

SEScoops had reported that around 500,000 viewers are watching the show on the streaming service within 24 hours of broadcast, coupled with over 500,000 tuning in to watch Dynamite live on traditional television. Speaking on the pre-Dynasty media call, AEW President Tony Khan suggested the numbers are consistent with what he has personally heard:

"I thought that was a really exciting report for AEW and very consistent with everything we’ve been told. While the numbers are being kept close to the vest, we’re one of the top sports streaming shows and that report was consistent with what I’ve heard." said Khan.

AEW’s new media rights deal in 2024 was seen as a coup for the company, with broadcast partner Warner Bros. Discovery believed to be paying approximately $185 million per year for AEW programming.

After a few bumpy years in terms of popularity and audience retention, AEW are seen by many as being in the midst of an upward swing, and these numbers could be an early indicator of such a trend.
