Tony Khan Still Refusing To Comment On MJF's AEW Status

Tony Khan isn't saying anything about MJF

AEW President Tony Khan has once again refused to address the situation between MJF and All Elite Wrestling, saying at the post-Forbidden Door media scrum: "I am, especially after the great show we did, I'm not going to comment on it, but it's a fair question to ask. I'm not going to cover that one right now."

This is the third time Khan has refused to speak about MJF since the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view on May 29.

That weekend was an eventful one for MJF as his frustrations over his AEW contract seemingly boiled over and the three-time Dynamite Diamond Ring winner no-showed the Double Or Nothing Fan Fest on Saturday, May 28. Friedman then did not board a flight that was booked for him out of Las Vegas before he worked the opening contest of Double Or Nothing in a loss to Wardlow.

It was noted that Khan and MJF had sit-down talks in the days after Double Or Nothing before MJF appeared on the June 1 edition of AEW Dynamite and demanded Khan fire him in a pipe bomb promo.

Many think the situation over Double Or Nothing weekend began as a shoot but it has since developed into a work devised by MJF and Khan.
