Tony Khan Teases "Massive" Happening, Says It Would Be "A Big Deal In Wrestling"
What does Khan have up his sleeve?
AEW President Tony Khan teased some major news on today's episode of Busted Open Radio, with an indication that the reveal could potentially come sooner rather than later.
"There will be a lot of news in the week of ahead," Khan said Friday. "I don't know if I'll get it done by tonight, but stay tuned in the week ahead, hopefully. I'm working on something pretty big. It would be massive. I don't know if it's what anybody would expect or think it is, but it would be a big deal in pro wrestling. I'm looking forward to hopefully making it happen. Stay tuned. I will hopefully get it done and have more to announce soon."
Two weeks ago, Khan teased multiple major developments for the February 9 AEW Dynamite in Atlantic City, while invoking the oft-referenced "Forbidden Door". New Japan star Jay White and former NXT champion Keith Lee both debuted on that broadcast.
Tonight's AEW Rampage airs three hours earlier than normal, due to TNT airing coverage of NBA All-Star Weekend.
