Tony Khan ‘Very Excited’ About Tonight's AEW Casino Ladder Match Joker
Who could the seventh participant be?
Tonight’s edition of AEW:Dynamite is an anniversary edition, celebrating two years of AEW’s flagship programme. Ahead of the programme, all eyes are on the seven man Casino Ladder Match, with the winner getting a shot at the AEW World Championship.
Going in to the match, six participants have been announced, with PAC, Orange Cassidy, Jon Moxley, Matt Hardy, Andrade el Idolo, and Lance Archer, with a seventh mystery wrestler set for the ‘joker’ slot.
Ahead of Dynamite Anniversary, AEW President Tony Khan sat down with PWInsider’s Mike Johnson and spoke of his excitement for the joker:
“I will not give you any insight into who the Joker is going to be. I will not tell you that, but I will go back to the announcement, actually, instead and tell you that it's been something a long time coming. I'm very excited about it and proud of it, and it'll really add a lot to the company, I think.”
The joker entrant in previous Casino Battle Royales and ladder matches is usually a massive surprise, with several wrestlers such as Ruby Soho, Brian cage, and Lio Rush using the slot to make their AEW debut.
There has been immense speculation online as to who could and who should be the joker, but it seems like we’ll just have to wait and see.
