Tony Schiavone Comments On Tully Blanchard's AEW Departure

Tony Schiavone shares his thoughts on Tully Blanchard's AEW departure and possible retirement from wrestling.

Tully Blanchard recently stated on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling Podcast that his wrestling career is "probably over" after leaving AEW and ROH. On his own What Happened When podcast, AEW (and former WCW) commentator Tony Schiavone gave his opinion on this, explaining:

“It was fun for me being able to work with him again. I really enjoyed it, and I’ve always enjoyed working with Tully. He was - as we have seen, as we have been watching over the years here on 'What Happened When' - he was a great talent. [...] Also, he’s got a very important job: working in a prison, working with inmates, trying to get their live back on track. Kudos to him for that. So I get it, and I wish him the best. It was great being able to work with him."

Although his role in AEW was primarily as a manager, during this run Tully also had what could be his final match - a six-man tag bout alongside FTR against Jurassic Express.
