Triple H Addresses Future Of WarGames On WWE Main Roster

WWE put WarGames on a main roster show for the first time ever at Survivor Series 2022

Survivor Series 2022 is now in the history books, with the show featuring the first-ever WarGames matches in WWE Main Roster history.

The classic NWA/WCW stipulation match has been a fixture in NXT for several years before being used to spice up a Survivor Series concept that had become stagnant, and during the post-Survivor Series press conference, Triple H addressed the future of the match:

"I think we'll see,” said Triple H when asked if WarGames could become a Survivor Series staple. "It worked out incredibly well tonight, it was very exciting, we'll see how that goes. In the process of looking at the overall year-to-year calendar, and seeing where things go and end up, I believe tonight was very successful, so it makes me feel positive. We'll see where the future takes us."

NXT held WarGames events in November/December from 2017 until 2021, promoting eight matches across the men’s and women’s divisions. The Survivor Series WarGames matches were the ninth and 10th in WWE history, and saw the teams of Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Mia Yim, and Becky Lynch, and The Bloodline win the women’s and men’s bouts respectively.
