Triple H At Peace With Never Wrestling Again

Triple H feels "totally good" about his professional wrestling retirement

Triple H has not competed in an official match since all the way back in 2019, with his last physical interaction coming in January of 2021 in a brawl with Randy Orton. Following heart issues and the installation of a defibrillator, Triple H retired from the ring. As has often been seen in wrestling, it is safe to “never say never” on retirement, though with Triple H moving into the role of Head Of WWE Creative and not competing in two years, many assume that he is fully done with in-ring competition.

When speaking on the Pat McAfee Show yesterday, Triple H was asked about the prospect of ever wrestling again, to which The Game said he didn’t think so given his heart condition, though it was something he was at peace with.

"I don't think so. I don't think I should be out there taking bumps around. Like, look, I've got a jumpstarter, right? So that's all good. That's a backup system if anything goes bad in your life, which could happen to anybody at any given time. So I've got a backup system - you don't want to unplug the wires.

"I'm totally good with that. I rode it until the wheels fell off - almost literally. I'm great with that. And I was at a place where I should have been retiring anyways. I was in a place in my mind where I wanted to be done with it."

He may not have gotten a definitive farewell match, but Triple H had a very strong career in WWE with 14 world titles to his name, among countless other accomplishments, matches, and moments.
