A landmark in the history of Spider-Man is very close, with Amazing Spider-Man #1000 due to be released on September 30, and Triple H will be contributing to it.
Marvel Comics have announced that Triple H has co-written an anniversary story for the milestone issue with Ed McGuinness titled 'The Big Night.' No further details about Triple H's contribution are known beyond the title, but Triple H's anniversary story will stand alongside others produced for Amazing Spider-Man #1000 by comic book icons like Brian Michael Bendis and Frank Miller. WWE Director of Character Development Rob Fee is also listed as a contributor to the issue.
Amazing Spider-Man #1000 will centre around the reveal of Aunt May's fate after she was taken to hospital and also set the stage for Spider-Man to face off with new super villain Ravage.
Spider-Man, of course, already has a connection to professional wrestling as the web-slinger famously went one-on-one with Randy Savage's Bonesaw McGraw in 2002's Spider-Man, with Peter Parker ultimately picking up the win.
WWE's CM Punk, meanwhile, previously wrote for Marvel Comics during his hiatus from pro wrestling, debuting with Thor Annual #1 in 2015, before he co-wrote the solo Drax series.
