Two Factions "Merge" On AEW Rampage

There Was A "Merger" Between Two Factions On AEW Rampage

Throughout the April 7 edition of AEW Rampage, Swerve Strickland teased a big “public service announcement”, which was revealed to be some sort of a “merger” in a backstage interview.

Later on in the night, following Darby Allin’s victory over Lee Moriarty, Swerve Strickland came out on the stage and gave Allin a handshake, making it seem like the merger had something to do with Allin. Instead, it was an ambush.

Brian Cage appeared from behind, accompanied by Prince Nana, and issued an assault on Allin. It was all but confirmed that the Mogul Affiliates had merged with The Embassy, which contains the trio of Brian Cage, Kaun, and Toa Liona, who are reigning as the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions. This increases Strickland’s allies by a huge amount, having previously only had the brooding duo of Parker Boudreaux and Trench to back him up. What this means for Strickland’s feud with Keith Lee is uncertain, as it seems for all intents and purposes that the pair have begun new feuds without having a big blow off match.
