Two Inactive WWE Talents Return At Superstar Spectacle Taping (SPOILERS)

One has obvious Royal Rumble implications...

Two absent WWE performers returned to action at Friday's tapings for Superstar Spectacle, each of whom was absent for very different reasons.

WWE champion Drew McIntyre made his formal reunion to action, more than a week and a half after it was announced that he had tested positive for COVID.

Also returning was McIntyre's former 3MB teammate Jinder Mahal. Mahal had been out of action since last May, after undergoing surgery to correct ongoing knee issues.

The two were on opposite sides of a six-man tag at the tapings, as McIntyre teamed with Indus Sher members Rinku and Saurav to face Mahal and his former sidekicks The Bollywood Boyz.

McIntyre's condition caused him to miss the last two editions of Monday Night Raw in person. In both instances, he appeared on Raw via video. He affirmed that he hadn't experienced any symptoms of COVID in spite of the diagnosis, and later accepted Bill Goldberg's challenge for the Royal Rumble.

McIntyre and Goldberg will appear on this Monday's Raw for the final build to their title match.

Superstar Spectacle will air on Tuesday, January 26 on WWE Network, and on Sony Media channels in India.
