Two Matches Announced For "Slam Dunk" Episode Of AEW Rampage
With a special start time
AEW has announced two matches for a special "Slam Dunk" edition of Rampage airing next Friday night.
In one of the bouts, Ricky Starks will take on Daniel Garcia of the Jericho Appreciation Society. Garcia pinned Starks this past Wednesday in the third match of a JAS gauntlet, following an assist from Chris Jericho (who was under a mask in the crowd). Starks had already defeated Angelo Parker and Matt Menard before losing to Garcia.
Also in singles action is Dustin Rhodes, who goes one on one with Swerve Strickland. Rhodes and Strickland have had recent altercations, in which Strickland has made disparaging comments about the Rhodes family. Dustin issued the challenge on Friday night's Rampage episode.
Next Friday night's Rampage will air at 7 pm EST, due to TNT's coverage of NBA All-Star Weekend festivities.
The current card for next Friday's "Slam Dunk" episode of AEW Rampage, being taped Wednesday night at Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, TX, includes the following:
- Ricky Starks vs. Daniel Garcia
- Dustin Rhodes vs. Swerve Strickland
