United States Title Match Set For Next Week's WWE Raw

A United States Title match has been booked for next week's edition of Monday Night Raw. Ciampa will challenge Bobby Lashley for the championship. 

Two Triple Threat matches took place on the August 1 edition of Raw to determine the number one contender and AJ Styles defeated Mustafa Ali and The Miz in the opening contest while Ciampa picked up a win over Chad Gable and Dolph Ziggler. This led to a singles match between Ciampa and AJ Styles later on Raw and The Blackheart earned the victory with the Fairytale Ending following interference from The Miz. 

This will be Ciampa's first title match since he moved to the main roster earlier this year. Lashley has been United States Champion since July 2 when he defeated Theory for the gold at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view. 

No other matches have been booked for next week's edition of Monday Night Raw as of yet. The show will take place in Cleveland, Ohio, however, which has prompted speculation that Ciampa's former #DIY tag team partner Johnny Gargano will return to WWE at the event.
