With the large conveyor belt of wrestlers that AEW has on its roster, it is easy to look over certain names who have been absent for quite some time, especially since there are so many wrestlers on the shelf with injuries, no creative plans, and more.

Two names who have been notably absent recently are Komander and Beast Mortos. Komander’s last match in AEW came back in April when he was part of the first Casino Gauntlet match to determine Roderick Strong’s International Championship challenger at Double or Nothing 2024, won by Will Ospreay. In the case of Beast Mortos, his last AEW match also came in April, losing to Rey Fenix on an episode of Collision.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the reason for their respective absences comes down to visa issues. They have been in Mexico and have had their visas renewed, but are currently waiting on receiving physical visas before returning. It is noted by Meltzer that once this has occurred, then it is likely that they will be back on AEW programming.
