The Thursday, June 29 taping of AEW Collision looked set to be a glorified indy show at one point but ticket sales have improved in recent weeks.

As of late May, AEW had only sold 646 tickets for the Collision taping that will emanate from the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Tickets have moved since the debut of AEW Collision on June 17, however, and WrestleTix revealed in their latest update that 3,083 tickets had now been sold for tonight's show. The building is currently set up for a capacity of 4,200 people.

Ticket sales appear to have been helped by a deal that allows fans to attend the show for just CA $15.

AEW's decision to hold a Collision taping in Hamilton has been criticised since the show is only a 40-minute drive away from Toronto where AEW held the June 24 edition of Collision and the Forbidden Door pay-per-view with New Japan Pro-Wrestling on Sunday, June 25.

The June 29 taping will air on July 1 in the United States on TNT in AEW Collision's regular time slot. The show will air on Wednesday, July 5 on ITV4 in the United Kingdom.
