Kenny Omega will make his in-ring return on next week's Maximum Carnage edition of AEW Dynamite from the Andrew J. Brody Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Omega made his return on AEW Dynamite on January 8 and he was confronted by Don Callis following an emotional promo from Omega about his battle with diverticulitis. The former AEW World Champion's reunion with his old manager wasn't a happy one as Callis soon ordered the Don Callis Family to attack Omega. Will Ospreay ultimately made the save for Omega.
It was announced soon after that Omega will make his AEW in-ring return on next week's Dynamite against the Don Callis Family's Brian Cage.
Jon Moxley's challenger for the AEW World Championship in his hometown was also revealed as Powerhouse Hobbs won a Casino Gauntlet to earn the title shot. Hobbs picked up the win following a Spinebuster to Kyle O'Reilly. Other names in the match included Jay White, Hangman Page, Adam Cole, Ricochet, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, Roderick Strong, Lance Archer, and Jeff Jarrett.
Kris Statlander also won a Three Way featuring Toni Storm and Willow Nightingale to earn the number one spot in next week's Casino Gauntlet for a shot at the AEW Women's World Championship at Grand Slam Australia.
AEW are hosting Maximum Carnage editions of Dynamite and Collision in Cincinnati following a request from Warner Bros. Discovery to 'ramp up' the shows. This is due to the shows falling on important dates for ad sales.
