Update On AEW Revolution 2022

Potential venue and date for AEW’s next PPV event

With AEW’s final PPV of 2021 out of the way in Full Gear, all eyes look forward to their next PPV offering - Revolution.

Whilst nothing is set in stone yet, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer has she some light on a potential date and venue for Revolution 2022:

“While not finalised, the Revolution PPV is rumoured to be on the first weekend of March, likely 3/6, at the Amway Arena in Orlando. The one thing is the usual live show at the same arena on Friday for Rampage would not be possible because the arena has a concert booked on 3/4.”

This will be the third Revolution PPV, and the first Revolution event to take place in Orlando, following 2020’s edition taking place from Chicago’s Wintrust Arena, and 2021’s edition taking place from AEW’s home-base of Daily’s Place in Jacksonville.

Despite its short life, Revolution has become a very noteworthy PPV event, with the first edition crowning Jon Moxley as the second ever AEW World Champion when he defeated Chris Jericho, whilst the 2021 edition saw the infamous Exploding barbed Wire Deathmatch between Moxley and Kenny Omega take place.
