Update On Akira Tozawa's WWE Future

205 Live star lost at Stomping Grounds on Sunday...

During Sunday's WWE Stomping Grounds Where We Kick Ass And Take Names Kickoff Show, Akira Tozawa did battle with Drew Gulak and Tony Nese for The Premier Athlete's Cruiserweight Championship.

Things didn't go well for former Cruiserweight Champ Tozawa, as he was the man to take the fall as Gulak captured his first title in WWE.

Following this week's episode of 205 Live, where Akira was defeated by Tony Nese in the main event Tozawa tweeted out "done," signalling that his future with WWE could have been in some doubt.

The tweet has since been deleted for those of you wondering where it is.

John Pollock of POSTWrestling has been able to clear up the situation, confirming Tozawa is contracted to WWE for some time and he won't be going anywhere soon: "Akira Tozawa is not leaving WWE. Told he has plenty of time left on his current deal," Pollock tweeted earlier.

By winning the match on this week's 205 Live, Nese will be going on to Extreme Rules to challenge for Gulak's Cruiserweight title.

At the time of writing, the match does not have a stipulation.
