There was an injury concern coming out of WWE SummerSlam 2025 weekend, as it appeared that Bron Breakker was the worse for wear following his match on night one.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Breakker got hurt during the match, but the severity was unknown, later adding:

"He was limping really bad going to the back and it was taped up a lot and my presumption was is that they were going to join in in killing Punk and they just let Rollins do it".

"He could, he could walk on it, but it's not like he ran in or anything like that or got involved in that finish. I just haven't heard, but I'm sure it was a legitimate injury, unlike the Seth Rollins injury, which was not a legit injury, obviously".

In an update, Fightful Select posted an account of an encounter that a fan had with Bron at a photo-op the day after:

"I had a photo-op with him earlier today. He came in about a hour late and was limping into the area. They gave him a chair to sit throughout the session. Also, the person that accompanied him from WWE was telling the workers to speed through the photos upon arrival. Really cool guy. I thanked him for showing up because he definitely didn’t have to and wished him a speedy recovery. Knee seemed a bit swollen".

Fightful added that a WWE source indicated the injury was going to be evaluated and that they were hoping it wouldn't be too serious.

WWE clearly have big plans for the former Intercontinental Champion and reportedly view Breakker versus Roman Reigns as a potential future WrestleMania main event.
