Bryan Danielson was in action on the October 25 edition of AEW Dynamite, teaming with Claudio Castagnoli to take on the CHAOS team of Kazuchika Okada and Orange Cassidy in the show’s main event.

Castagnoli would get the win over Cassidy with Swiss Death, after Danielson took a combo Orange Punch and Rainmaker from his opponents. Post-match, Danielson was clutching his jaw as AEW ringside doctor Dr. Sampson checked on him, prompting fears the ‘American Dragon’ had an injury.

After Dynamite went off the air, AEW President Tony Khan took to X/Twitter to give an update on Danielson’s condition:

“Thank you all who watched #AEWDynamite tonight! We had a great show with a great live crowd in Philly! After an Orange Punch/Rainmaker, thankfully @bryandanielson walked out on his own power! If you missed tonight's show, it's on at 8pm PT/9pm MT/10pm CT/11pm ET NEXT on TBS West!”

Although nothing has been confirmed, it appears that Danielson may have just been selling the effects of Cassidy and Okada’s finishers, as Dynamite ended with a staredown between CHAOS and The Blackpool Combat Club over the welfare of Danielson. Regardless, this will be a positive, as Danielson has already missed significant ring time in 2023 due to injury.
