Bryan Danielson made his return to All Elite Wrestling programming at All In Texas as the former AEW World Champion interfered in the main event of the pay-per-view to help Hangman Adam Page take down the Death Riders.
Danielson, arriving in a Blue Panther mask, took down Wheeler Yuta with a Busaiku Knee and hit a Suicide Dive to Claudio Castagnoli and Gabe Kidd. The American Dragon then worked with Darby Allin and brawled to the back with the Death Riders.
Danielson's return to AEW TV followed him making the save for Blue Panther at ROH x CMLL Global Wars and (sort of) wrestling his first match since his full-time retirement at WrestleDream 2024 when he answered Max Caster's open challenge in a dark segment on June 25.
While he may have been involved at All In, Danielson clarified on The Nikki & Brie Show that he is "not back." He also noted that some of the moves he performed at All In were not cleared by AEW's medical team, but he was "feeling it" in the moment. Dr Michael Sampson wasn't upset with Danielson but he did think the 44-year-old was "an idiot."
Danielson has noted that his neck "is wrecked" since his full-time retirement, but the expectation amongst some in AEW is that Danielson will ultimately wrestle again.
