Update On Chelsea Green's WWE Status Following Broken Nose At Saturday Night's Main Event

Chelsea Green sustained an injury at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event during her challenge of Zelina Vega for the Women's United States Championship.

The match which lasted just over five minutes saw Zelina Vega go for a 619, only to botch the move and get stuck in the ropes. This prompted Zelina to finish the move by kicking Green straight in the face, giving Chelsea a broken nose in the process. Green began bleeding immediately after the kick and ended up losing to Vega.

In an update on Green, Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the former Women's United States Champion's broken nose was a clean break and Green likely won't miss any time because of the injury.

"Chelsea Green broke her nose. It was a clean break, so it's not bad and I think she's going to stay on television from what I gather. She got that from the 619 from Zelina Vega," Meltzer said.

Green reacted to her broken nose following Saturday Night's Main Event, tweeting a photo of her screaming while covered in blood - which can be seen above.

Green has been on the receiving end of praise in WWE. She re-signed with the company earlier this year.
