Update On Expiring Deal For Anna Jay

It has been known for some time that Anna Jay’s AEW deal is expiring in the very near future, with reports indicating that her contract is set to expire in early 2026, though no concrete date is known. It was reported that the expectation was that AEW would attempt to re-sign Jay, though her eyes may not necessarily be resting on Tony Khan’s promotion when it comes to what she will do next. 

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has noted that the current talk is that Anna Jay is assessing her future and is “open to other options” outside of AEW. It isn’t clarified whether this means she is interested in WWE, TNA, Stardom, or elsewhere, but it seems as though she is undecided on whether or not she’ll stick around in AEW when her contract comes to an end.

Ever since she and Tay Melo were knocked out of the tournament to crown the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, Jay has not been used in any capacity on AEW programming, last wrestling all the way back on November 19.
