Update On Nikki Bella Following WWE SmackDown Injury

Nikki Bella appeared to suffer an injury on the March 27 edition of WWE SmackDown, with the WWE Hall of Famer checked on by ringside medical stuff during the broadcast.

Bella - and sister Brie - are currently involved in a three-way feud for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, alongside fellow challengers Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, and champions The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax & Lash Legend).

After defeating Flair & Bliss on SmackDown, the champs came down for an in-ring confrontation, with a visibly limping Nikki thrown to the floor by Jax. Nikki did not return to the ring for the rest of the segment.

A report from PWInsider states that Bella apparently rolled her left ankle during an exchange with Flair during the match, with Bella subsequently checked out backstage by WWE medical personnel.

As of writing there is no indication of the severity of the injury. Whilst no match has been announced, it is believed that The Bellas, Flair & Bliss, and The Irresistible Forces will battle for the tag titles at WrestleMania 42 in April, with the team of Bayley and Lyra Valkyria potentially set to join the fray.
