Update On Omos Amid WWE TV Absence

One for the Omosapiens among us.

The last time Omos wrestled on televison was as an entrant in the Slim Jim Battle Royal at WWE SummerSlam on August 5, where he put in an impressive performance eliminating Apollo Crews, JD McDonagh, Rick Boogs, Butch and Matt Riddle, before several superstars ganged up to eliminate him.

So where has he been since then and what's his current status within WWE?

Posting an update on plans for The Nigerian Giant, Fightful Select noted that he is being kept off television in order to make his appearances special so that he can transition into an 'attraction' role similar to Brock Lesnar (and previously Big Show).

Despite being absent from Raw of late, the 29-year-old has continued to work select non-televised live events, registering victories over Johnny Gargano and Akira Tozawa.

Fightful added that few, if any, pitches are heading his way.

Earlier this year, Omos had a more prominent role in storylines, landing him major matches with Lesnar (at WrestleMania 39) and Seth Rollins (at Backlash). WWE were reportedly 'very happy' with his performance opposite Rollins.
