Usos Vs. Mysterios Added To WWE SummerSlam 2021

SmackDown Tag Team titles on the line

A match for the SmackDown Tag Team titles is now official for SummerSlam, as WWE has announced the Usos will defend their belts against Rey and Dominik Mysterio at the pay-per-view.

Jimmy and Jey Uso won the belts from the Mysterios on the Kickoff portion of Money in the Bank last month in Fort Worth. It's their seventh reign as some form of WWE Tag Team champion (and fifth with the SmackDown belts).

The Mysterios previously held the titles for 63 days, having won them from Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode at WrestleMania Backlash on May 16.

The weekend of SummerSlam will mark a full year since Dominik Mysterio made his in-ring debut. He lost to Seth Rollins at last year's SummerSlam.

The current card for WWE SummerSlam, taking place Saturday, August 21 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, is as follows:

* WWE Universal: Roman Reigns (c) vs. John Cena

* WWE World: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Goldberg

* Raw Women's: Nikki A.S.H. (c) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley

* SmackDown Tag Team: The Usos (c) vs. Rey and Dominik Mysterio
