Vince McMahon Reportedly Swerved FOX On 2019 WWE Draft Plans

Plans change, pal!

WWE have reportedly informed their television partners - FOX and USA Network - of the key names being swapped around in the upcoming Draft, but that doesn't necessarily mean plans won't change.

Bryan Alvarez has noted how WWE initially told FOX that they were getting certain wrestlers on SmackDown ahead of the blue brand going over to their new television partner, only for Vince McMahon to change his mind late on and put some of those names on Monday Night Raw.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Alvarez said, “Before the Fox debut, before they were getting ready to do the draft, they actually aired Fox commercials with certain Superstars, I believe Charlotte might have been one of them, I forget the others.

"But the point is that Fox was sure they were getting certain talents, because they were told by WWE that they were getting them. Then Vince changed the plan and they did the draft and then they didn’t give it to them.

"So, don’t think that just because they told Fox and USA ‘this is who you’re gonna get in the draft’ and they can’t change it, think again!"

It has been reported that a host of NXT talent will also be called up to the main roster during the 2021 WWE Draft, which is scheduled to kick off on Friday 1 October. But, as the above story indicated, plans change!
