Virgil Announces He's Battling Colon Cancer

The former WWF star is asking for help

Close to a month after revealing other recent health troubles, former WWE and WCW star Mike "Virgil" Jones tweeted on Saturday that he's been diagnosed with stage two colon cancer.

Virgil tweeted, "It’s really shitty right now. Too make things worse I know have stage 2 colon cancer. I am a fighter but need your help. I cannot afford any of the medical bills and would love your support. https://www.paypal.com/pools/c... love you guys"

Virgil had tweeted several weeks ago about other health issues he'd been dealing with, including dementia, as well as having suffered two strokes.

At the time, Virgil wrote, "without me knowing, over the past few months the doctor had identified that I suffered 2 massive strokes. I didn't even have a clue till I started not working with 1 of my arms. It’s basically not able to do anything. This was the decent news. The worse news is that I have been told that I am fighting with an early stage of dementia."

The 59-year-old is best known for his time with WWE between 1987 and 1994, where he served as bodyguard for Ted Dibiase, before going on to feud with him.
