Wade Barrett Confirms He'll Be Doing Commentary On WWE NXT Next Week

Amidst negotiations over a full-time deal...

On last week's edition of NXT, Wade Barrett returned to WWE TV for the first time since April 2016. The former Intercontinental Champion called the action on the show alongside Vic Joseph and Beth Phoenix in what was initially advertised as a one-night deal. Barrett returned for this week's episode of NXT, however, and his brief spell at the announcer's table has been praised by fans.

Barrett will be involved on the black and gold brand for at least one more week as he confirmed on Twitter he'll be calling the action on Super Tuesday II.

He tweeted: "There's no way I'm missing this one. This is fast becoming a habit.. see you next week for another #NXTSuperTuesday! #WWENXT."

Whether or not Barrett will stick around long term remains to be seen, but recent reports revealed the former bringer of bad news is in negotiations with WWE over a full-time return. His last two appearances were reportedly part of a "feeling out" process between both parties.
