War Machine Could Be Signing With WWE

The team of Hanson and Raymond Rowe could be heading to WWE soon.

Various news sources are reporting that War Machine, the tag team of Hanson and Raymond Rowe, could be heading to WWE in the near future.

This speculation has come about as a result of War Machine's actions at a recent Ring of Honor taping. Having lost, they bowed to the crowd before departing the arena - an act which many have taken to imply an impending move to WWE.

The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer has twice reported on WWE's potential interest in the tag team over the course of the year. In January he wrote that Raymond Rowe was WWE's only target, but that the wrestler himself was trying to negotiate a deal to bring Hanson along as well. He also stated that WWE were interested in Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, and Bobby Fish, and this was confirmed when the trio later debuted in NXT as the Undisputed Era.

In the summer, Meltzer then reported that WWE were interested in both members of War Machine, but would have to wait until their Ring of Honor contracts had expired. Their bow at the recent TV tapings has therefore caused speculation to resurface.

War Machine have become one of the hottest tag acts outside of WWE over the past couple of years, holding tag team gold in promotions such as New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring of Honor.

The pair formed after meeting in the final of the 2014 ROH Top Prospect Tournament, the promotion's annual 'proving ground'-style competition, won in recent years by current WWE-signees Donovan Dijak and Lio Rush.

Hanson defeated Rowe in 2014 to win the tournament, and the pair formed an alliance thereafter.

It's perhaps worth noting that Rowe is in a relationship with Sarah Logan, who competed in the inaugural Mae Young Classic, and recently made her main roster debut on SmackDown as part of the Riott Squad stable.
