While it isn't necessarily a sign that he is close to a return, Wardlow was backstage at All Elite Wrestling's Revolution pay-per-view, according to Fightful Select.
Fightful has noted that Wardlow was at the event visiting, and he wasn't actively planned for Revolution. The outlet has not been told there are imminent plans for Wardlow's return or whether the three-time TNT Champion has been cleared for a return to the squared circle.
Wardlow has been out of action for several months since he suffered a torn pectoral muscle immediately upon his return at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 during a beatdown of Swerve Strickland. Wardlow suffered the injury while hitting Prince Nana with a lariat and the issue affected AEW's immediate creative plans as Wardlow was set to be involved in Hangman Page and Kyle Fletcher's programme over the AEW World Title leading into All Out.
Prior to his one-night return, Wardlow had been off AEW TV since March 2024 due to a labrum injury that was exacerbated by a car accident. He was also in France in the summer of 2025 to film the revival of American Gladiators, with Wardlow performing as one of the gladiators. The series is set to air on Amazon Prime Video from April 17, 2026 and will feature The Miz as the host and the likes of Rick Boogs, Kamille, and Jessie Godderz as gladiators.
