Wardlow Regains AEW TNT Title On Dynamite

Three time's a charm for "Mr. Mayhem"

Wardlow is once again the AEW TNT champion, after defeating Powerhouse Hobbs on Wednesday night's AEW Dynamite in Pittsburgh.

Before the match, Wardlow acquired the managerial services of Arn Anderson, to help him counter any potential interference from QT Marshall.

Late in the match, during a distraction spot, Marshall slid into the ring and hit Wardlow with the QT Cutter, but Hobbs could only get two. Anderson (along with Penta El Zero Miedo) helped neutralize Marshall from there, while Wardlow came back to deliver three powerbombs on Hobbs to regain the title.

After the match, Wardlow's celebration was interrupted by Christian Cage and the returning Luchasaurus, who stared down Wardlow from the entrance stage.

For Wardlow, it's his third overall reign as TNT champion, tying him with Cody Rhodes and Sammy Guevara for most reigns ever with the title. Wardlow won the title for the first time in July of 2022 from Scorpio Sky.

Hobbs' reign as champion ends at 42 days. He won the title from Wardlow on the March 8 episode of Dynamite in Sacramento, with an assist from Marshall.
