Wardlow Reveals His Number One Priority For AEW TNT Title Reign

Wardlow has major plans for his run as TNT Champion and Mr. Mayhem revealed the number one priority for his reign while speaking with the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. 

"That's actually my number one priority. I want to bring back the open challenge. I'm not sure if that's what we're going to do but I would definitely like to bring that back. Right now I have the original design, which I love, and I don't have any plans to customise it. If they give me the opportunity, maybe I will, but I do love the original," Wardlow said.

Cody Rhodes initially introduced an open challenge after he became the inaugural TNT Champion in 2020 and he faced the likes of Sonny Kiss, Eddie Kingston, Ricky Starks, and Warhorse for the gold. Rhodes then revived the open challenge for his very brief second reign as champion. 

Wardlow has been TNT Champion since he defeated Scorpio Sky for the title in a Street Fight on the July 6 episode of AEW Dynamite. He then successfully defended the championship on July 13 against Orange Cassidy.
