Wardlow Vs. Christian Cage Ladder Match Set For AEW Double Or Nothing

For the TNT championship

The TNT championship will be on the line at AEW Double or Nothing, as Wardlow defends his championship against Christian Cage.

After several weeks of staredowns and small confrontations, Wardlow challenged Christian to come to the ring on Wednesday's Dynamite and spit in his face, as he'd previously threatened to do. Christian and Luchasaurus then confronted Wardlow, but when Christian went to spit on him, Wardlow seized him by the throat. Luchasaurus then got involved, and he and Christian ultimately beat Wardlow down with a ladder, culminating with Christian hitting a Killswitch onto it.

Later on, Arn Anderson confronted a battered Wardlow in the trainer's room, asking him what he intended to do. Wardlow said he would beat Christian at his own game, and challenged him to a Ladder match at Double or Nothing.

The current card for AEW Double or Nothing, taking place Sunday, May 28 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, includes the following:

* AEW World Heavyweight: MJF (c) vs. Darby Allin vs. Jungle Boy vs. Sammy Guevara

* AEW World Tag Team: FTR (c) vs. Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal (Guest Referee: Mark Briscoe)

* AEW TNT/Ladder match: Wardlow (c) vs. Christian Cage
