Leon Slater defended the NORTH Wrestling Championship against "Speedball" Mike Bailey in the main event of Slamfest on Friday, January 5 at the Linskill Centre in North Shields, England. The all-TNA Wrestling affair was Speedball's NORTH debut as Slater looked to exact a measure of revenge on Bailey for defeating him at RevPro 10-year Anniversary back in August 2022. 

Expectations were high heading into the North Shields clash and the match ultimately delivered, with both talents going back and forth for 23 minutes. The main event was Leon Slater's fifth defence of the NORTH Title, having won the championship from Liam Slater at Thunderstruck in July 2023. 

Following NORTH, "Speedball" Mike Bailey has returned to North America and he will be in action on Saturday, January 13 at TNA Hard To Kill. He will challenge for the TNA World Tag Team Titles with Trent Seven in a Four-Way that also includes champions ABC, Grizzled Young Veterans, and The Rascalz.
