The May 17 Beach Break edition of AEW Collision suffered from technical issues in the United States as the show ended 30 minutes early on TNT and the MAX streaming service. The issues affected both the East Coast and West Coast broadcasts of Collision.
The technical issues meant The Sons of Texas vs. The CRU to determine the number one contenders for the AEW World Tag Team Titles and Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Wheeler Yuta didn't air. Collision was taped on Wednesday, May 14.
The technical issues with AEW Collision were a WBD issue as the show aired in its entirety for fans outside of the United States on TrillerTV's AEW Plus service. Warner Bros. Discovery Associate Director of Live Events Rich Guleksen explained why Collision went off the air early, posting on Bluesky:
"Just heard about this. Very sorry this happened. It actually was a severe technical problem with show delivery & recording. The team is working to get this put back together for MAX replay & TNT VOD asap."
In an update at 11:40 pm ET on Sunday night, Guleksen noted it "looks like" Collision will be available on MAX at some point today.
With Collision going off the air early, Black Adam starring WWE's Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson replaced the final 30 minutes of the show.
