Why Adam Pearce Missed Last Week's WWE Raw
WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce has been absent from our screens.

May 6, 2025
A report from PWInsider Elite has shed some light on Adam Pearce's recent absence from WWE Raw. It explains:
"The word making the rounds is that Pearce had a pre-scheduled surgical procedure and missed the TV taping due to that surgery. [...] Pearce has not been let go from the company as part of the recent releases."
Pearce's role was filled by onscreen SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, but the regular Raw GM is expected to return.
A former star of the independent scene and five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Pearce signed with WWE full-time in 2015, having previously done coaching, training and production work for the promotion. (He also appeared as enhancement talent in the 1990s.)
Pearce first appeared as an onscreen authority figure in 2020, initially overseeing both brands before becoming the full-time Raw General Manager in October 2023.
Despite his extensive experience in the ring, he has previously stated that he has no interest in returning to a wrestling role.
Although taking part in a couple of matches - usually as a largely inactive tag partner or reluctant participant - Pearce's last consistent run came in 2014. His last match on the independent scene came in December 2014 against Ace Steel at Metro Pro Wrestling in Kansas City. Cultaholic is now on WhatsApp! Follow us here.
