Mina Shirakawa had new entrance music in All Elite Wrestling for a very short spell upon signing with the promotion on a full-time basis and the former RevPro Undisputed British Women's Champion has revealed why the change was made.

Shirakawa made her full-time AEW debut at Beach Break on May 14, making her way to the ring to new theme music. The change was met with overwhelming negativity, though, to the point AEW CEO Tony Khan changed Shirakawa's theme back to her original entrance music by the time she won a four-way at Beach Break.

Appearing on Close Up with Renee Paquette, Shirakawa revealed it was actually her idea to debut new entrance music.

"So, for returning to AEW, AEW debut, I want to change something… My friend made me a song, a new song and so, I love that track. I love the song. But, maybe, my fans loving my old one. Yeah, because very iconic. Tony (Khan), during match, changed my music… Yeah, I win (Shirakawa started singing the tune of her original theme). So maybe I feel, oh, it was mistake. So after match, I asked Tony, 'Oh, so my music, what happened?...' He loved the old one. But I love both of music. But, maybe (the old song) is very Mina-style, very iconic," Shirakawa said.

Shirakawa's win at Beach Break led to a match for the AEW Women's World Title against Toni Storm at Double or Nothing, a match which Storm won. Shirakawa and Toni Storm have since teamed together on AEW programming.
