Why WWE Bad Blood Will Start Earlier Than Usual

Bad Blood will be starting earlier than usual US-based PLEs

WWE are resurrecting the old classic Bad Blood PPV next month, which will be taking place on October 5, 2024, which marks 20 years to the day of the 1997 Bad Blood show which hosted the first ever Hell In A Cell match between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels.

The show will be the first “B-level” premium live event to take place in the United States since Fastlane 2023, nearly an entire year ago, with WWE running the event in Atlanta, Georgia at the State Farm Arena. However, despite this show taking place in the US, it will have an earlier start time to usual US-based shows. It is currently listed as starting at 6 PM Eastern time.

In speaking with WWE sources, PWInsider learned that this was not a mistake or typo, and that the show would in fact have an earlier start time. This is due to UFC 307 taking place on the same night at Bad Blood, airing at 10 PM Eastern. With UFC and WWE now under the same banner after the TKO merger, WWE starting earlier means that the shows will not have a crossover or run against one another.

A Hell In A Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre is slated to be on the card for Bad Blood 2024.
